Southampton heavy rockers Desolated are bringing out a brand new, relentless album called ‘Disorder of Mind’ on the 15th July. The new tracks are filled with powerful guitars, angsty lyrics and an angry vibe. This raging new music is ideal for those who enjoy their music heavy and perfect for moshing; ‘Disorder of Mind’ has echoes of early Slipknot and Disturbed with their use of aggressive vocals, rapid drums, dominant bass lines and strong guitars, the talent of the band is made evident with their ability to regularly change the tempo in their songs whilst being able to keep the original approach of the music. Our favourite track from the album has to be Death By My Side, the variation of vocals with the use of group chanting, shouty screaming and the more intense, throaty screaming makes the track the one we want to jump around to.
Desloated themselves express: “We really just wanted to make the heaviest, most aggressive record we could…The lyrical theme of the record is depression, and the music is a reflection of that. We wanted to make this to vent our aggression - this music is about suffering.”
If angry and powerful metal music’s your choice, then Desolated’s ‘Disorder of Mind’ is your voice!
